Michael has over 25 years of experience in tax and accounting. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Clemson University and is a Certified Public Accountant. In 2009, he founded Butler CPA, P.A. Michael brings a broad range of knowledge and works with a diverse client base, helping them grow and succeed while minimizing their tax liabilities. He specializes in construction and various areas of real estate accounting. He completes over 40 hours of continuing education annually and remains committed to understanding, learning, and advising clients on the tax code and how it impacts their specific situations.

Paige joined Butler CPA in 2014. As a former school administrator, she brings strong organizational, communication, and logistical skills to the firm. Since joining, Paige has become knowledgeable in tax and accounting; however, her key role centers on client communication, staff coordination, and overall office administration. She holds a B.A. in Communication from North Carolina State University and a Master of Education from North Carolina A&T State University. Paige is also active in the community — she is a past president of the Junior League of Greensboro and The Forum Greensboro, as well as a graduate of Leadership Greensboro and Women to Watch. In her downtime, Paige enjoys traveling, discovering new adventures, spending time outdoors, and celebrating special moments with family and friends.

Teresa has over 30 years of experience in tax and accounting. She holds a B.S. from Appalachian State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Teresa brings extensive knowledge and a wide range of skills to the firm. Her deep understanding of the tax code allows her to effectively guide clients through their tax situations. She oversees both corporate and individual tax preparation and works directly with clients to help them understand their tax outcomes. In her free time, Teresa enjoys hiking with friends, reading, line dancing, gardening, and traveling to new and exciting places.

Cody is currently pursuing his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Wingate University and a Master of Accounting from Purdue Global. Cody has developed a diverse set of skills in both corporate and individual tax and is a valuable asset to our firm. He dives deep into complex tax situations and explains the outcomes to clients, helping them better understand their tax position. Outside of work, Cody enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, discovering new restaurants, and is quite the foodie.

Wendy joined Butler CPA in 2010. She is an expert in QuickBooks and prepares monthly financial statements, while also assisting clients with sales tax, payroll, and coordinating tax payments with government agencies. Recently, Wendy began taking tax preparation courses and is working toward becoming a tax preparer. With over 15 years of on-the-job training alongside Michael, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our clients. Wendy wears many hats in the office and serves as an excellent resource for both colleagues and clients. Outside of work, Wendy enjoys live music, outdoor activities, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Vicki brings strong organizational skills and prior CPA office experience to our firm. A retired schoolteacher and graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Vicki often serves as the first point of contact for our clients. She manages the front desk and handles initial phone calls and emails from both existing and potential clients. Vicki also oversees both digital and hard-copy client information and manages the administrative process for tax returns and related projects. Outside the office, Vicki enjoys all things NASCAR and Wolfpack. She also loves attending concerts and sporting events with family and friends. With a creative eye, Vicki crafts beautiful handmade items in her spare time.

Kym has over 20 years of administrative experience. She supports our team by managing client communications, organizing and maintaining client records, assisting with accounts receivable, and helping at the front desk. Kym plays a key role in office coordination and is a valuable asset to Butler CPA. In her spare time, Kym enjoys traveling with family and friends—especially to the beach—and attending live music events.

Abbey is currently pursuing her master's degree in business administration, analytics. She holds a B.S. in Finance from UNC Greensboro. Abbey is the newest addition to our team, and we are excited for her future at Butler CPA, P.A. She plans to pursue her CPA license after completing her master's degree. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with family and friends. She also loves staying active in the gym and tuning into any NC State ball games on the weekends.

Lily is currently an accounting apprentice with Butler CPA. She is pursuing an associate's degree in accounting at Guilford Technical Community College. Lily is a photographer and spends time capturing photos of interesting people and beautiful landscapes. She is credited with the photos on our website.
